I am a lady-of-a-certain age who enjoys writing lighthearted rhymes about things that strike me as funny or things that annoy me.  I live with my husband, Steve, our golden retriever, Charly, and our newly 'acquired' cat, Harry (see my poem Harry the Cat) in a tiny village in Hertfordshire.  We have three grown-up children and two gorgeous granddaughters.  We consider ourselves to be very lucky indeed.

I started writing poems about a year ago (2023) after a long walk with Charly and being upset by all the litter we had seen beside the road.  If there's one thing that makes me mad....it's litter!  I shared my poem Litterbug on our local WhatsApp group and my neighbours were all so kind about it, I felt inspired to do some more.....
