Don’t tell me your secret

it’s a burden I can’t bare

Secrets disconcert me

I get a burning need to share

Find someone more judicious

with more integrity

Your secret won’t be safe you see

tell anyone but me

 

They wouldn’t need to torture me

to make me spill the beans

Secrets pour out easily

I’m leaky at the seams

I hate that I’m a blabbermouth

I don’t mean to betray

When I let the cat out

I feel wretched with dismay

 

So take this as a warning

please be prudent, please take heed

If you insist on telling me

your secret will be freed!
